Love percentage 100%: Perfect score

This is a game for fun, not a prediction. A love percentage of 100% means "Perfect score" in the name game. Type two names in the calculator to see the letter-by-letter strike-out and share the card.

Worked example: Priya and Lovely

97%

Count the letters L, O, V, E and S in the two names, add the counts in pairs, and the traditional LOVES count method gives 97% for Priya and Lovely.

A game for fun. It cannot tell you how anyone feels, so please do not take the result to heart.

Common questions

What does a love percentage of 100% mean?
In the game it reads as "Perfect score". It is a bit of fun for friends and crushes, not a real measure of love.
Why can a name pair land at 100%?
This method keeps one digit per sum and ends on two digits, so it can only reach 99. The source is the traditional LOVES count method.
Why do some calculators always give 100?
Some calculators always show 100 for the pair you type because they are built to flatter; this one is a plain letter count, so 100 never appears and the same names always give the same number.
Can you show a worked name pair?
Yes. Priya and Lovely score 97% with the traditional LOVES count method. The same two names always give the same number.
